Meeting Your Weight Loss Goals

This partnership class between Grand River Hospital District – Changing Lifestyles, Rifle Fitness Center and Colorado Mountain College will help you start the year off right by creating a personalized exercise and eating plan that is just right for you.  Record your intake, do your own nutrition analysis, decide what needs improvement, then make your own ideal food plan. 

Class dates and times are: Fridays from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Healthcare Career Club

Interested in learning more about the exciting careers in the healthcare industry?

Why healthcare?

  • Healthcare is one the largest industries proving 14.3 million jobs (2008)
  • Healthcare is the 10th of the 20 fastest growing occupations
  • Healthcare will generate 3.2 million new wages and salary jobs between 2008 – 2018, more than any other industry!

The Healthcare Career Club will offer local area high school students an opportunity to learn about various and diverse careers available in teh medical field.  Students will not only network with other students from different schools with their same field of study interest, but htey will gain enthusiasm and guiadancce on how to achieve goals needed to strive for a career in the health field.

January 25th HCC will fetaure Paul Schultz, GRHD Director of Phyiscial Therapy

  • Experience first-hand how therapy would be conducted for those with difficulity walking
  • Learn how physical thereapy has helped many patients awith spinal cord injuries
  • Get information on becoming a physical therapist

GRHD STAR Program Open House

Grand River Hospital District is proud to announce a new program that addresses the unique health and quality of life issues of cancer survivors living with it’s aftermath.  STAR (Survivorship Training and Rehabilitation) is a nationally recognized cancer survivorship program that focuses on helping cancer survivors regain as much of their former level of functioning as possible.  STAR is being utilized in some of the best cancer centers in the country and now it is available within your own community.

Please plan to attend an informational Open House at Grand River Hospital & Medical Center (501 Airport Road in Rifle) on Thursday, January 26th from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m and share the excitement as we get ready to launch this new distinctive phase of post cancer care.
